What You Will See On Our Helicopter Tours
Our first charter option focuses on the landmarks of uptown Miami. The shortest of our Miami, FL sightseeing tours, The Taste of Miami tour, lasts only 15 minutes. In that relatively short time you’ll fly over Sun Life Stadium, which, in addition to regularly hosting the region’s professional sports teams, is also the home of the annual New Year’s Day Orange Bowl sponsored by Capital One. You’ll also catch glimpses of the racetrack and casino grounds at Gulfstream Park and the lively spectacle of the Aventura Mall. The tour begins with a flyover of Saint Thomas University. The university is the alma mater of Miami’s own Andy Elisburg, the Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations for the hometown Miami Heat.
The tour route also provides views of Dumfoundling Bay and Founders Park. Astounding views of Hallandale, Golden, Sunny Isles, and Haulover Beaches are provided before the tour circles back toward Opa-Locka Airport. This doesn’t mean the views stop when the helicopter turns back south. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for sights of the beautiful Oleta River State Park and the village at Bal Harbour, which is home to some of the region’s finest luxury resorts and retail shops.
Our second Miami helicopter tour is a bit longer in duration than the first. It lasts a total of twenty minutes. While this still seems a relatively brief period of time to be airborne, you’ll be surprised at just how much ground The Golden Beaches Tour covers. This Miami Helicopter Tour encompasses all the attractions included in The Taste of Miami Tour, and then offers much more.
You’ll begin by flying over the neighborhoods of North Miami and Eastern Shores. Stunning views of Maule Lake and Greynolds Park begin the highlights. Keen eyes should be on the lookout for the rooftop of the famous Duffy’s Sports Grill of North Miami Beach. The Golden Beaches Tour builds on the experience offered in the Taste of Miami Tour by continuing south to provide extraordinary views of the entire stretch of Miami Beach, from Surfside to the neon lights of South Beach. This stretch includes views of many of the region’s award-winning beachfront resorts, a number of parks along the Miami Beach Boardwalk, and the infamous Art Deco District. You’ll also have a chance to view the exceptional golf course located on Fisher Island, the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park and the Virginia Key Mountain Bike Park, and much of the Inner Waterway, before the helicopter turns back northwest and returns to Opa-Locka Executive Airport.
Our final Miami Helicopter Charter is a full thirty-minute flight that starts north to provide all the views covered in the Taste of Miami and Golden Beaches Miami Tours, but it doesn’t end there. Continuing further south than our two other Miami helicopter charters, The Grand Tour of Miami includes views of the famous Brickell Neighborhood, also known as “Millionaire’s Row”, and its’ abundance of lavish homes. You’ll also have chances to take in Bayfront Park, Marlins Park, and American Airlines Arena, home of the NBA’s Miami Heat.
For those interested in seeing one of the region’s most culturally distinct districts, the Grand Tour of Miami also provides views of Little Havana and the barrier island chain, which includes Virginia Key and Key Biscayne. These islands are home to the Miami Seaquarium and Crandon Park Tennis Center. Capped off with views of Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and the University of Miami Campus, home to the Hurricanes, there’s no more inclusive way to see all that the Greater Miami Community offers.
